Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This page is maintained by the RSS Parcel team to explain what data RSS Parcel collects, why it is collected, and the choices you have. It describes current practices and is not an independent audit or certification.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and an authentication record. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in readable form.
Content you add. The feeds you subscribe to, the articles fetched from those feeds, pages you save with the browser extension or API, read/unread and archive state, and any titles or dates you edit.
API tokens. Tokens you generate to connect the browser extension or other tools to your account.
Technical data. Standard server logs (such as request times and error details) used to keep the service running and diagnose problems.
How we use your information
- To provide the reader: fetching feeds, storing articles, and syncing your reading state across devices.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the service.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your reading activity for advertising.
Third-party services
RSS Parcel relies on a small number of service providers to function: a cloud hosting and database platform (which stores your account and content), and article-fetching services used to retrieve feed and page content when a publisher's site blocks direct requests. These providers process data only to deliver their service to us.
When RSS Parcel fetches a feed or article, the request goes to the publisher's own site (or an embedded provider such as YouTube), which has its own privacy practices.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage strictly for functionality: keeping you signed in and caching your feeds and reading state for a faster experience. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your feeds, saved items, and reading state remain in your account until you delete them or close your account. You can remove feeds and saved items at any time from within the app. To delete your account and its associated data, contact us using the details below and we will process the request.
Security
Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account through database-level access rules, and traffic to the service is encrypted in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address issues promptly when they are reported.
Your choices and rights
You can access and edit your content directly in the app, export your subscriptions as an OPML file, revoke API tokens, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data; contact us and we will act on valid requests.
Children
RSS Parcel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above; material changes will be highlighted in the app.
